Ended up taking a bunch of photos today in an attempt to keep myself busy. It’s when I have a pause in what I’m doing or when I sit down that I start to remember that Fuzzy is gone. Like with a lot of things since the car accident, as long as I keep busy I’m okay.

One good thing about all this rain is that my seedlings have sprouted! My groups of wild flowers, sunflowers & lavender all have started to sprout. I’m pretty excited about this since I haven’t gardened since I was about 14 or 15, when my dogs at the time started eating my rose bushes. I haven’t gardened with Granny since I was probably 10.

The downside of all this rain (besides the flooding) are that the Woodhouse toads start coming out & making my life with dogs a living hell. So, in case anyone reading this doesn’t know, dogs are like babies & LOVE to put everything in their mouths. This would include toads that they are suddenly curious about. It’s just too bad that the defense mechanism of the Woodhouse toad, & probably every other toad, is to urinate all over. That happening in a dogs mouth causes them to start foaming. If you’re lucky, that’s all that happens. If you’re Toki Wartooth (Not A Bumblebee), you not only foam at the mouth, you also vomit for a day. You’d think they would eventually figure out not to stick everything in their mouths. Nope!

The Ithakē Flock continues to be curious about their new coop. As long as the dog house remains in the pen that’s what they’ll keep using to lay eggs & sleep. Once we move it out of the main pen & set it up for the pen extension, it’ll be easier to get them to use the coop. Right now, however, the M&M Twi s are using it for the night!

The lady who breeds the Svart Hönas & Ayam Cemani backed out of selling me the EExAC pullets. Not a big deal right now, but still a disappointment.

Still no baby bunnies.

Sparta, my little sparrow, just would not hold still or stop from being washed out. Still damn adorable, though. She starting to grow out her facial feathers now.

Lila, on the other hand, was more than happy to hold still as I took pictures of her. She’s still pretty timid, but she does take care of Nyx & Sparta like a mama hen.

The biggest surprise – Nyx didn’t wash out with all her whiteness! She’s somewhere in between Sparta & Lila on the Ah! The Outside World Is Terrifying scale. I got some good shots, I think, of her because of this.

These 2. I’m so in love with them. My project being a 100% success & 100% gorgeous. They did a lot better than I thought they were going to do. Merc was a little skittish at first, but settled in so I could get a few good pictures. Mem, on the other hand, refused to sit & have his picture take. These 2 were difficult because they panic when they’re separated. So, it was a little bit of a struggle with each until I reunited the, with their twin.
